I Reviewed Huawei Matebook 16 R7

Hello friends. I bought the laptop and it arrived, now let's do a little review so that it is a real user experience and I will update the topic according to changing situations. Let's exchange ideas for those who will buy.

Design.

I have used gaming and office laptops of many brands for about 15 years. This is my 2nd Huawei laptop, the first one was Matebook 13 I think, I don't remember exactly, but it was also very good. The design of this product is made entirely of metal, I think only the keyboard keys and the hinge are high-quality plastic, but "everywhere you touch on the rest is metal and it's really enjoyable. The touchpad is very large, the largest, unlike the countless laptops I've used before. This may be an advantage for some and a disadvantage for others, but I liked it, you can use it like a mouse in a wide area. The keyboard keys are very low and the keyboard seemed a little small to me. I've always used a large keyboard lately, maybe that's why. Apart from that, there is no numerical section on the keyboard, so I'm used to it and I miss it. The keyboard has a 2-stage white lighting. It's enough to see in the dark, but don't expect perfect lighting power, eh, that's it. There is a dot light on the Caps Lock and FN keys to understand the activity status, I think this is a plus. Apart from that, the webcam is hidden between the F6 and F7 keys, which is a very smart touch, but the person who made it probably did it thinking that people don't have webcam conversations with laptops anymore. Because the camera angle is very bad. The camera doesn't really interest me anyway, this touch made to the camera is a huge plus for me since it greatly benefits the screen ratio. There are speakers on the right and left corners of the keyboard and it really gives a very loud and clear sound. It definitely does not leave the need for BT speakers. The on/off button is very sweet and has a high-quality fingerprint sensor. The quality of the case gives a premium feel to a great extent, I can definitely say that it has been successful in design in many aspects from diamond cut to shape and weight.

Hardware.

There is no need to talk much about the performance of the device, but let's talk briefly. The Ryzen 7 5800H - 16 GB RAM - 512 GB SSD combination is a more than sufficient combination to meet daily needs. I could not see the brand of the RAMs, but the SSD is installed as WD SN730 NVMe. The sound card is a Realtek screen panel, an unknown brand called TV160DKT-NH0. In terms of hardware, it is at a very good level, rest assured about this. (The most important part of the screen, I will talk about it in another title)

Software-battery-performance

It comes with Windows 11 Home. It has Huawei's own applications installed and some of them really work. You can update the driver directly from its own application. In terms of performance, the device already offers a very smooth experience, probably due to the power provided by the hardware components. The most important point here is whether this laptop heats up. I haven't been able to test it in detail yet, but I will definitely update this section when I do. Because it was said somewhere that the fan constantly runs and heats up. I haven't had such a problem for a few hours. The fan doesn't work, the laptop doesn't heat up abnormally. Of course, this may change when watching a 2K movie. I will write my full observation here in a week. As for the battery, it comes with a 135W Type-C charger that is not too big but not too small either. The charger charges very quickly compared to classic laptops. As someone who has used a MacBook Pro 2022 before, I can definitely say that it charges as fast as a MacBook Pro. I haven't tested how long its charge lasts. But I think its charge will almost reach the 10-11 hours they give. I think its battery will satisfy.

Screen.

Yes, we have come to the last heading. Huawei is really a very strange company when it comes to screens. This device has a 16-inch 3:' ratio 2.5k 60Hz IPS panel with a 90% screen-to-body ratio. The screen-to-body ratio is truly amazing. The vividness of the colors makes watching a 2K movie the most enjoyable activity on this device. Especially if you use it in your room at night in the dark, it feels like you're looking at a frameless screen. The colors look very vibrant because it's IPS. Now that we've praised it so much, let's get to the downside of the screen. Unfortunately, there's a chronic problem with Huawei laptops, and Huawei doesn't see it as a problem. You know, some monitor brands say that there's no problem unless there's a certain number of dead pixels, and that's exactly what Huawei does. All of Huawei's laptops have a problem with light leakage in dark colors on their panels. In other words, when you turn on a completely dark color, you see slight light leakage. This is a lot on some laptops, and less on others. For example, it was much more on the Huawei laptop I used 2 years ago, but it's almost non-existent on my current laptop. When I open a black picture and take a photo with my phone, it looks like it's too much, but when you look at it with your eyes, it's almost non-existent. Frankly, there is such a problem on the screen of Huawei laptops, I heard about it while researching it and I bought it knowingly. Because I don't always look at a black picture or how many times do I get a completely black scene while watching a movie? In dark scenes, this
