Hello. I am using iPhone 14 Pro with iOS 16, I will especially touch on this point. Since I switched from AirPods 2, I will compare it with it. I will try to keep it short and not take up your time. I am using the Type-C version.
Advantages of the product:
Its silicone structure: Of course it is a bit subjective, there are those who like it and those who don't. You can wear it from XS to L according to your ear size from the box. If you are worried while taking it off and putting it on, it is normal that you have to force it a little while changing the silicone. Silicones have significantly reduced the sound output compared to AirPods 2 and 3, and they fit well in the ear. The Lightning version is no longer available, but if you want to buy it, the XS size does not come out of the box. XS is only available in the Type-C model. There is a test on the iPhone that gives you an idea of which one fits your ear better in the settings section. Silicone is not a must, it can be used without silicone. It fit my ear better after AirPods 2. I liked the silicone thing.
Sound quality: It is 2-3 clicks better than AirPods 2. It changes from song to song, I couldn't even feel the difference in some songs. It especially stands out in the bass. However, when the volume is at the top, the bass and treble mix. You get the clearest sound when the volume is around 70%.
Being able to adjust the volume on the headphones themselves: I liked this feature the most. It came in handy during sports or when I was away from the phone.
Charging time: Both the box and the AirPods charge very well. I charged the box the day I bought it, used it for an average of 1 hour every day and the box's charge decreased by 20-30%. You can also charge it with your MagSafe devices with the MagSafe feature.
Head tracking feature, spatial audio, noise cancellation: I recommend turning on the head tracking feature while watching movies or series. I got the best experience with the spatial audio and noise cancellation duo during normal music. If I need to give an example of the degree of noise cancellation: When there was a renovation upstairs, the Hilti sound was very clear. With noise cancellation, this becomes zero. When I tested it in normal calls, the other party hears your voice more deeply when noise cancellation is on. But of course, all the traffic noise etc. It doesn't go to them.
Transparent mode: I couldn't figure out exactly where this feature was needed. You still can't hear the outside at very high volume levels. It is heard at medium levels. If there are those who have experienced it in more useful places, please enlighten me.
Disadvantages of the product:
1- Material quality: As you may have seen in the video reviews, the lid of this box makes a little clicking sound when you push it lightly with your finger. Since the AirPods 2 has a smaller box, this was less common. Also, like the AirPods 2, it is very prone to scratches, I will buy a case as soon as possible.
2- Microphone: As I said, it is very good for calls, but I use the dictation feature on the keyboard a lot. Since the headset is short, the microphone is at the top. This causes the dictation to understand what you say more incorrectly. The issue has nothing to do with my old software version. I tried it with every mode such as transparent mode, noise cancellation, etc. I also tried it with my friend's iPhone 13 with iOS 18 beta. The situation is the same on him. I can say that AirPods 2 was better in this regard.
Incompatibility: Friends, this is a problem I personally experience. I use 14 Pro with iOS 16 installed and those who know me know that I am against updates for iPhone because it is a severe planned obsolescence. You have to use the latest version software to benefit from everything about AirPods Pro 2. Apple also states this on its website. The image of AirPods and the box does not appear in the battery indicator widget, my headphones do not appear even in the find application. And of course, I cannot get the new features. Anyway, I say it is not a problem for me, but I wanted you to know if you are going to use it on your old devices.
Evaluation
